Here’s exactly how it works.

No experience required. First-time filmmakers win all the time. All you need is a team, a phone or camera, and the guts to start.

  1. Fri · 11:00 AM

    The Theme Drops

    One person from each team meets at our kickoff location. We reveal the secret theme live, and the clock starts the moment you walk out the door.

  2. Fri–Sat

    Write & Shoot

    Crack the script, gather your cast, and shoot everywhere you can. Sleep is optional. Coffee is mandatory.

  3. Sat–Sun

    Edit & Score

    Cut it together, add sound and music, and export. Every frame must be created inside the 48 hours.

  4. Sun · 11:00 AM

    Submit Your Film

    Hand it in before the buzzer. Late is the same as never. That pressure is the whole point.

  5. Screening Night

    Lights Down, Big Screen

    We gather the whole community to watch every film on the big screen. Your film. A real theater. A crowd that was strangers two days ago.
